If I start my program and decide remote learning isn’t for me, can I defer or withdraw?

All new students will receive a Virtual Orientation to college prior to classes starting, supported by our academic and service areas. All students in any level of a fully online program having any difficulties are encouraged to connect with their faculty, Academic Advisors and their Financial Aid Advisors (for those on OSAP) to ensure all options and success strategies are considered before withdrawing from the term. All international students taking their program remotely and/or overseas are encouraged to review the updated withdrawal/refund rules addressing COVID-19 impacts and overseas starts.

Will there be an orientation for new students?

Prior to classes starting, Niagara College provides a comprehensive online orientation program for all domestic and international students.

Are masks and physical distancing be required on campus?

Our masking policy remains in effect, and that means non-medical facemasks are required in all indoor areas of campuses and off-campus sites including 43 Church Street and the Niagara College offices within the Niagara Corporate Business Centre. This includes classrooms, hallways, stairwells, washrooms, elevators and offices when there is more than one person present and physical distancing is not possible. Physical distancing is still expected in all areas of campus and you’ll notice floor markings around campus to help maintain the proper distance from others. Where needed, workspaces and offices have also been modified to allow for physical distancing. Please be sure to keep at least two meters apart from others at all times. In classrooms and labs where physical distancing cannot be maintained, enhanced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of a medical-grade facemask and eyewear is required and will be supplied by the College. In certain labs, gloves and gowns are also required.
